Most Productive Four-Day Weekend Ever.
5:38 PMI'm looking back on my last five entries (including this one) and I notice they all end in "Weekend." Haha! I guess because that's the only time I'm able to write in this blog and they're often the highlights of my week. I mean, I don't really think anyone wants me updating on my assignments for class I have throughout the week. Still, it's funny to look at my most recent entries and the fact that they're all weekend-related ;D
Speaking of this weekend, oooh my goodness, this was by far the most productive weekend I've had in a long time. I feel like I got so much accomplished. I just stayed hibernated in my room the entire time, wearing the same clothes since Friday, and plowed through all the work for this coming week. Altogether, I've:
✔ Read and edited all four classmates' stories for Fiction Writing class this week, which included writing them letters as well.
✔ Read the next two chapters out of my Psychology of Gender textbook (and am now totally ready to take the online exam!)
✔ Completed my other assignment for Fiction Writing, which involved looking up Amazon reviews for the short story collections we've read, writing my impressions of them, and finally writing and posting my own reviews.
✔ And I even got a little bit further in both my stories for my two writing classes!
✔ Oh, AND I took out the garbage in our dorm room. And yes, I do consider that a major accomplishment because it was disgusting and there was so much of it and none of my other suitemates would do it. So woo-hoo for me for taking care of business!
Altogether, I'd say that was a pretty damn productive weekend if I do say so myself. The best part of it is that since I got ahead and did all the work needed for this week, this totally frees up my week for me to focus more on my two stories, which I really need to put all my attention into and work on finishing. I can't even tell you accomplished I feel right now!
So, that's the latest update on Busy College Girl.
Don't worry, after a long weekend of hibernating and looking ratty, I took a much-needed hot shower, which felt fantastic, and soon I will go outside and have a much-needed dinner at the dining hall. I think I may wait until the "late" dinner because I think they're serving warm chocolate chip cookies :)
Oh, and Happy Veteran's Day!
