Homeware Buying: I Can't Stoooop!

Things are getting a lot busier around here now that it's getting closer and closer to me going back to school.  And since I won't just be in any ordinary dorm this year, but a much more apartment-feeling dorm with a kitchenette, I feel the need to buy a few more items that I may need.  Especially since I'm making the plan to cook my own dinner (or at least try! Heh) instead of eating out at the dining hall, I want to ensure that I have all of the necessary things I'll need...

Well, that was the plan anyway coming into Ross a couple hours ago.  Although I think I have just about all of the pots and pans I need for cooking purposes this year, I still wanted to try to find a large pot to cook tomato sauce in for spaghetti, and a strainer for making noodles.  I didn't end up finding quite what I was looking for there... BUT I did find this incredibly cute mixing bowl!!!

Only $7.99!
True, I don't think I'll be planning on baking too much while I'm at school, but I've still been excitedly in the mood to gradually collect items for my future home one day whenever I should move out permanently :)  So naturally, when I was walking down the kitchen aisle and saw this, I thought it was perfect and had to buy it.  I can tell I'm starting to develop this blue theme for my home, so the colors immediately caught my attention.  And it's just the perfect size - big enough so that flour and whatever else I'm mixing won't jump out as easily.  Eeee, I love it!

Besides the mixing bowl, I also find this really cute container!

It was only $3.99 and I was so instantly drawn to it.  I couldn't walk out of the store without buying it.  I just love the color and I love that it has the addition of the wooden lid!  You could either keep it off for when you're using it, or put the lid on when you have company over so they won't be tempted to snoop through your things (heh) while at the same time making it look really nice.  As soon as I picked it up, I knew it would look perfect in a bathroom to hold bobby pins or something...  And it does!

Well, in about a week and a half I'll be moving back up to school in my new place.  It's crazy that it's coming so fast, but every day I'm starting to feel a little more ready.  Not relating to this post necessarily, haha, but with buying cooking items and Mom teaching me how cook simple, easy meals.  Ahh, I'm excited, but I'm so nervous!  There's still a lot to do, though.  I barely have time to do anything else!  At least it's nice to know that by the time I'm out of school I'll probably have everything I need for my future home ;D
