Should I make this a regular segment?  Taking pictures of beautiful books?  :)  

I just picked this up from the library earlier tonight!  It's a book that's been sitting on my To-Read List for some time and wasn't listed in the King County Library system, so there was no way for me to check it out to read (and if you know me well, you know my policy against buying a book I haven't read first).  But the week before last I remembered that you can request a book to be special ordered to your library.  I wasn't quite sure how long it would take to special order this book, especially since it's pretty new, so I was immensely happy to see that it had already come and was waiting for me on the hold shelf!  Aaand, because it was sprinkling a bit outside (which is why I sought shelter in the library to begin with), a librarian there gave me a really cool eco-friendly bag to check out and that I can keep for up to a year!  How neat is that?!

Anyway, when I was admiring it in my hands, I couldn't help notice how pretty of a book it is and knew I had to take pictures of it later :3  I'm so excited to read this book!  I don't know a whole lot about it aside from the description on the back.  What really drew me to this book is that it's the story about the Grimm brothers (of the Brother's Grimm fairy tales), and I'm a big fan of their stories - I even have yet another gorgeously-made, book-porn worthy copy of The Complete Brothers' Grimm Fairy Tales.  So I hope to really enjoy this :)

Sorry if the pictures have a bit of a warm saturation to them.  I usually prefer to take pictures in natural light, but by the time I got home it was getting darker out, so I had to use my bedside lamp to add some light.  FYI: my camera is a big crab about lighting!  I had to take so many pictures because every other one seemed to come out blurry and I had to keep the camera perfectly still and not budge a muscle just to produce a clear picture.  Whew, did a number on my eyes. 

But now, I'm perfectly content, sitting on the couch all cozy and warm, watching The Big Bang Theory and wrapping up this blog post :)
